Writing Skills

Hello, dear readers. Today I`ll share some strategies I`ve carried out in order to increase my students` writing skills. First of all, by means of Edmodo; this educational platform allows my students to write whenever they want, not only in-class activities. They write about their feelings, their questions, and they also write about other subjects at school. This magnificent platform makes English even more real for my students. Another way I make my students write is by giving Assingments on Edmodo, I usually send them videos and they must write their comments or answer some questions about it. Another positive aspect is that, even when grading my students´ writing tends to be time-consuming, this platform makes it much easier; I grade all my students in a few minutes. By means of the platform MyOn, which is a Reading Platform, I take advantage of it for my students to write by means of graphs, timelines, charts, etc. Regarding in-class writing activities I foster real contexts for them to write about their real feelings and emotions; for instance, instead of writing a letter to a person they even don`t know, why not write to a real friend with a real postcard, why not write about their real past events in a timeline instead of writing about an imaginary person given by a book.
